Passiontree Velvet patisserie cafe will be coming to Westfield Garden City shopping centre, and we are on the look out for a hard working franchisee looking to own their own business located in the highest traffic section of the new shopping centre development.

Passiontree Velvet is a patisserie & high tea concept with a strong cafe food and coffee trade. We pride ourselves on having one of the best showcases in the centre with our beautiful patisserie products and vivid packaging colours.

The Location:

Located in front of David Jones, close to the Woolworths supermarket, this is ideally situation in the fashion run of the mall while still being the closes cafe to the fresh food area located in front of Coles, there is a low density of cafes in this area compared to other parts of the centre, so you have a captive market to yourself.

What are we looking for?

No previous patisserie or cafe skills are required, we make everything for you and train you in our tried and tested procedures and systems. We are looking for people who have the passion and drive to make this store as successful as the other stores in our portfolio.

Training

We provide 2 weeks of training in an existing store and 2 weeks of in store training and guidance once your store is open, as well as regular on going training and support.

And to celebrate, here's three fun facts about the ever so delicate and delicious macarons we have to know and love!

1. Originally, macarons were made of just almond flour, sugar, and egg whites. No filling, whatsoever. 

2. The first macaron derived from Italy rather than France and was brought over in 1533 by the chef of Italian noblewomen (and later Queen of France) Catherine De Medici. It was credited by Pierre Desfontaines who had the idea to fill them with creamy ganache as it was originally served as a single cookie. 

3. 'Macaron' is a delicate, light meringue cookie often filled with ganache. 'Macaroon' on the other hand, is a hearty mounded cookie made with shredded coconut, often topped with jam or dipped in chocolate.
